MIKE MACKELDEY

Mike MacKeldey is a painter specializing in contemporary art. 
He is a self-educated artist.  In his work, Mike focuses on the head or the portrait. Thickly applied colours are more and more blurred, destroyed, and painted over and so they change the original image from that clearly identifiable into a more abstract version. Scratches, smears, and scribbles or drawings are made in the wet paint., related to the work in a sometimes ironic way. It is then left up to the individual viewing to decipher the underlying meaning and story behind the work.

He is originally from Frankfurt, Germany.
